Egyptian Boy Jack Experiences Life in the Second Home

Jack, a boy from Egypt, has been teaching English to children in Thailand for two years. He has been following the updates about the Thai branch of the Second Home on the Lifechanyuan Facebook page for more than seven months, and was drawn to our simple and joyful way of life. He contacted Jiejing, and during a three-day holiday, he took a 10-hour bus ride from Sukhothai to visit and experience life in the Thai home.

In just three short days, Jack participated in farm work, a hot pot party, and games activities. The simple labor and the warm, joyful atmosphere in our home made him feel relaxed and happy. He marveled at how ideal and beautiful everything was here, saying, "Everything is organic." The vegetables are organic, the people are organic, and everything people do is in harmony with nature. He said that even the air here feels fresher and more invigorating than elsewhere, and he was so excited that he expressed his hope that one day we could establish a branch like this in Egypt.

In addition to that, everyone sat in a circle and introduced themselves. Some of the brothers and sisters explained the community model to the visitor, others shared their stories with Lifechanyuan, and some talked about their experiences living in the community and their insights from cultivation and spiritual practice. The heartfelt sharing and the warm, friendly exchange deepened everyone's sense of closeness and helped Jack gain a more practical and deeper understanding of the advantages of the second home model and the appeal of Lifechanyuan's values.

Jack’s love for the Second Home also inspired and motivated us, giving us positive energy. It made us realize that there are many people in the world, like Jack, who love and long for life in the Second Home. May we continue to grow and develop our community, lighting beacons for the hardworking, kind-hearted people who yearn for going back home!
