As 2025 begins, Thai Home warmly welcomed two vibrant visitors, Silvia and Alexandra.
Silvia, a psychotherapist from Italy, views traditional one-on-one relationships and conventional lifestyles as restrictive to personal growth. She seeks openness, freedom, and self-discovery through travel and continuous learning.
Alexandra, originally from South Africa, has been living in Thailand for three years studying dance. She now teaches contact improvisation at a camp in Chiangdao.
Although their visit lasted just three days, Silvia and Alexandra embraced the lifestyle of our second home, helping to plant flowers, pick vegetables, and participate in rural farm work. They immersed themselves in the joy and harmony of life at Thai Home.
On their final evening, Alexandra introduced everyone to contact improvisation dance in the Meditation Hall. This form of dance emphasizes creativity, spontaneity, and connection through physical contact, encouraging dancers to listen, feel, and communicate deeply with one another.
The lighthearted and playful session felt like a game, bringing endless joy to everyone. In this warm and joyous atmosphere, the brothers and sisters experienced support, trust, connection, and unity.
One memorable moment involved a dancer moving freely in the center, surrounded and protected by the group, making gestures as if falling or flying. As we surrendered our bodies, tilting and losing balance, we were securely caught and lifted high into the air by everyone’s hands, soaring like birds. In that moment, we felt boundless support and freedom, deeply moved by the unconditional trust and care. It was a powerful reminder that we are not separate—we are united as one.
As the joyful dance session came to an end, we thanked Silvia and Alexandra for bringing fresh energy and joy to Thai Home. We wished them a wonderful journey ahead and warmly welcomed them to visit again.
Meanwhile, life at Thai Home continued with vigor, where work, play, and connection come together in harmony. Led by Brother Foyi, we completed bamboo fences for the vegetable garden, installed partitions in the bedrooms, and upgraded the gate to our peaceful paradise.
