Editor's note: the main project of the second phase is to build forty-seven (47) independent bedrooms, a beautiful dining hall, and a spacious activity hall in the Dahe Chuan area. Each hall will accommodate about two-hundred (200) people. In November of 2011, it was still a wasteland with only a large abandoned hen house, but after one and a half years of building, it has become a very beautiful and poetic residence of the Second Home.

We worked hard from dawn to dusk, swinging shovels and pickaxes, positioning each brick and tile, building our home. We carried sand, paved and fixed the roads, built walls, and mounted the roofs. Unafraid of heavy work or dusty and dirty conditions or of how tired we are, we had no regrets as we toiled to create our beautiful paradise, our new home.
