The Second Home, A Battle Against Traditional Marriage and Family
Xuefeng
July 31, 2009

The sea of tribulation is boundless

According to the warning of World Health Organization and International Suicide Prevention Association on September 10, 2006, “Globally there are one million suicides every year.”

On April 18, 2009, the newspaper Lianhe Zaobao in Singapore carried an article entitled: European research report of the one million suicides 30% comes from China. In China, Japan, Hazakistan, Finland, Latovia, and Hungary, there are 20 suicides or more among every 100 thousand people. And in Lithuania, the rate has reached 40 suicides. In America, Canada, and Australia, there are 15 suicides among 100 thousand people. In Greece, Mexico, Brazil, Iran, and Egypt, the figure is five.

Dr. Feilipeng, an consultant with spiritual health department of World Health Organization, estimated from the information published by health ministry that in China alone there are 287,000 suicides each year. According to the calculation of World Health Organization,  the number of attempted suicides is at least ten times that of the actual suicides, and that puts the number attempted suicides at 2.8 million. 1.5 million people are subject to chronical mental traumas caused by the suicides of family members or friends. 160,000 children younger than 18 years old have only single parent because of the suicide of their mothers or fathers.

Globally, every year  there are one million suicides and about ten million attempted suicides. If we estimate that three or four relatives and friends are affected by each suicide and attempted suicide, then globally there are at least 330-440 million people are subject to severe mental trauma. How can we solve this problem? What is the root of the issue.

The answer is the traditional marriage and family is the chief culprit of suicides.

And this is only an insignificant corner of the iceberg of the tribulations and afflictions caused by traditional marriage and family. Suicides and attempted suicides are comparable only to the flashes of flames amidst thick and dense columns of smoke. It is absolutely impossible to list the anxiety, worry, bitterness, and struggles inflicted upon people’s spirit and soul by issues of a family’s food, clothing, shelter, transportation, living and dealth. The quarrels between family members, especially between husband and wife, have been common occurences, which amounts to the torture and mistreatment of soul and spirit to each other.

In addition, crimes of various categories are being staged in the world every day: theft, robbery, drug trafficking, murder, bombing, poisoning, sabotage, terrorist activities, employment of torture for confession, unlawful detention, incendiarism, killing, rape, abduction, trafficking of women and children, gang fight, provoking of trouble, intentional injury, and blackmail. According to the statistical data submitted by the governments of different countries to “International Crime Prevention Center” of the United Nations, the figures of 2000 for crimes among 100,000 people are respectively:Sweden: 13679, New Zealand:12053, Finland:11598, England:10345, Denmark:9834,Canada: 8397, Germany:8621, United States:7627, France:7419, Norway:7235 (the figures for other countries are omitted). What does this mean? Take Japan and China for example. According to the report of Japan’s THE YOMIURI SHIMBUN on January 21, 2003, Japan’s police department announced that in 2002 there were 285,37 cases of crimes in the country. On January 30, 2008, China’s Public Security Ministry announced at the press conference that in 2007 the various public security organizations in the country recorded 4.746 million cases of crimes.

What’s the root of so many crimes? I can tell you that at least one half of the crimes stem directly from traditional marriage and family. The motive of crimes is in essence to maintain marriage and family. There are also vast number of invisible crimes, especially those in the economic sectors, for example, corruption and bribery, and blackmail, etc. The offenders break the law for the sole purpose of maintaining their own marriage and family.

Let’s take another look. On November 17, 2008, UN’s IPCC released in Spain the summary of the last part of the fourth climate change investigation and assessment report. The document calls on governments of all countries to take actions, explaining that the warming of the climate system has been a most clear fact and that if we do not take actions the climate change caused by human activities might lead to sudden and irreversible effects. The impacts of climate change can be disastrous in some aspects. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that “the world is on the edge of a catastrophe”, “some coastal cities like New York, Bombay, and Shanghai will be under the sea.”

Who has caused the climate changes and natural disasters?
All this has not been brought about by any individual or any single nation, instead it has been brought about by the traditional way of life of mankind!

Traditional family is the cell and core of the life mode of mankind. Thus the root of climatic change and natural disasters is the old life mode of traditional family. If we don't change the traditional life mode of marriage and family, we will not be able to avoid the tribulations and disasters.

Repent and be saved

In order to lower the rate of suicides, reduce various kinds of crimes, slow down climate changes and relieve natural disaster, and make sure that every member of mankind have a joyful, happy, free and blessed life, all members of human kind should settle down and discuss the new life pattern of mankind. The traditional marriage and family is the “sea of tribulations”. Man should escape the sea of tribulations and live a new lifestyle that has never been tried in human history—the new life mode of the Second Home. In order to realize this purpose, we have created a new website:

The  Second Home (Chinese website:http://www.di2jiayuan.net) mainly includes:

1. Chanyuan’s outlook on marriage and family.

2. Jesus Christ’s reflection on family.

3. Osho’s discourse on marriage and family.

4. The attitudes of domestic and foreign celebrities, sages and saints on marriage and family.

5. The status quo of mankind’s marriage and family.

6. Cases of tragedies related to traditional marriage and family.

7. The malpractices and hazards of traditional marriage and family.

8. The exploration for man’s new way of life.

9. The new way of life created by Lifechanyuan.

10. Parents channel.

11. Husband and wife channel.

12. Children channel.

13. Health channel.

14. Opinions on marriage and family.

15. Recreation and entertainment.

We should break up the traditional marriage and family and replace it with a completely new life mode. This is something that concerns the happiness of everyone.

It is necessary for member of human kind to be actively involved in the discussion and exploration on how to break up the traditional family and how to build a new life pattern.Disregarding the borders of nation, nationality, culture, region, and political party, it is hoped that everyone can jointly involve in exploring for ourselves, our relatives and mankind a new way of life that can make every one joyful, happy, free and blessed.
