Celebrating the Three Treasures Festival and A Joyful Outing in Hompanding Farm in Thailand Branch Qianzi Celestial July 20, 2024 Yesterday was the Buddhist Three Treasures Festival, the day when Buddha Shakyamuni first accepted disciples and taught the Dharma. On this occasion, Abbot arranged for the community members of the Thai home to visit the temple for breakfast. Early in the morning, we brought offerings from our garden harvest: string beans, longans, and other vegetables. Abbot introduced us to his Taiwanese guests who were dining with him. Through our conversation, the guests learned briefly about our community and its development history in mainland China. They marveled at our dedication and selfless service, praising us as a remarkable community. After the monks finished chanting and offering blessings, Yangle took everyone to the hot spring park and a farm called Hompanding for an outing. A dozen pairs of feet playfully splashed in the comfortably warm spring water. We then visited a garden-style farm. We explored the depths of the farm, seeking beauty and serenity, admiring various flowers and plants. We also had close interactions with adorable animals. Everyone was in high spirits, joyfully immersed in the picturesque natural surroundings, laughing and blooming with carefree abandon. Each person radiated a unique celestial charm, whether gentle and graceful, playful and lively, warm and cheerful, or innocent and approachable. Brothers were handsome, exuding a gentle, considerate, broad-minded, and steadfast aura that was utterly captivating. |
