The indictment of the Linzhou City People's Procuratorate states:

"This superstitious organization has been dispersed by government departments multiple times. In April 2021, the Civil Affairs departments of Tongzi and Anlong in Guizhou Province banned the illegal organization 'Life Chanyuan' according to law. During the process of the ban, Zhang Zifan incited over eighty believers to resist the government's persuasion to return by means of hunger strikes and writing suicide notes. Ultimately, all members were persuaded to return to their places of origin."

Setting everything else aside, let us look solely at what the Linzhou City People's Procuratorate calls the "government's persuasion to return" and the Chanyuan Celestials' "resistance to the government's persuasion to return."
