Celebrating the Songkran Festival at the Temple + Sightseeing Qianzi Celestial April 16, 2025 Yesterday marked the third and final day of Thailand’s Songkran New Year Festival. On this special occasion, Longpao Buddha compassionately invited brothers and sisters from Thailand Home to the temple for a blessing and celebration. Everyone brought freshly harvested vegetables from the fields as offerings to the temple. Together with the local villagers, we sat cross-legged in the temple hall, listening to the monks chant scriptures and deliver teachings in celebration of the new year. After the chanting ceremony, Longpao Buddha kindly had a hearty breakfast prepared, with a wide variety of dishes and fruits laid out for everyone to enjoy. In this warm and joyful atmosphere, everyone savored the delicious food with hearts full of gratitude. After the meal, Longpao Buddha personally gave a New Year’s red envelope to Dengdeng, and before departure, lovingly prepared generous portions of fruits and snacks for everyone. Bathed in the compassionate light of Longpao Buddha, everyone’s faces bloomed with joyful smiles, our hearts filled with happiness and thankfulness. After the temple event, Yangle made a spontaneous arrangement to take everyone on a sightseeing trip to nearby scenic spots for some leisure, photography, and fun.
