Hummingbird Community
Located in Mora, New Mexico, United States

Our Vision

Hummingbird Community is a family of pioneering souls whose vision is to cultivate a joyful, vibrant, co-creative culture in service to the evolution of consciousness.

Our Essence

At our core we are cultivating a resonant field of safety, trust, playfulness, appreciation and love that nurtures our spiritual growth and empowers the fulfillment of our soul’s purpose. All of our activities emerge from this foundation.

Our Mission

As a living laboratory of co-creation, our mission is threefold:

To model a synthesis culture that embodies our divine nature, expresses our core values, honors the sacredness of all life and cares for the earth on behalf of ourselves and generations to come.

To provide and host educational programs, conferences and retreat experiences that support conscious evolution, loving relationships, regenerative living, new economics, health and well being.

To create an inter-generational sanctuary for all who are called here that brings forth their inner wisdom and allows for the flowering of their unique gifts.

Community Description
Hummingbird Community is located on 500 acres of lush land nestled against the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico. We began as a non-local community within Global Family bonding through our extensive international peace and educational work. Global Family, founded in 1986, is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization affiliated with the United Nations whose purpose is to support a shift in consciousness from separation and fear to unity, love, and cooperation.

As social pioneers, we share a commitment to the principles and practices of co-creation. Since founding Hummingbird in 1996, we have grown into a diverse group of 22 deeply connected core members who support one another in fulfilling each of our souls’ purpose.

Hummingbird Community is one of four primary aspects of our overarching organization, the Hummingbird Center for a Co-Creative World (www.hummingbirdcenterforacocreativeworld.com):

– Global Family
An international network of individuals and groups who choose to experience themselves as members of one human family and who desire to actualize their life purpose through joining with others in compassionate action for the benefit of all.

– Hummingbird Community
As social pioneers, our Community is dedicated to the practices and principles of co-creation in service to the evolution of consciousness. We honor diverse spiritual traditions, and are committed to personal and planetary transformation.

– Hummingbird Living School
The educational programs of HBLS are designed to give people the understanding, information and skills necessary to be a leader in the pioneering adventure of bringing forth a profoundly healthy and loving world.

– Hummingbird WellNest
A premier wellness center for those who desire a renewed sense of wellbeing and balance. We value personal relationships, emotions, beliefs, meanings and the connections these have to the body, mind, spirit and all of humanity.

We invite others to join us in our living laboratory of discovery where Source and Nature guide us to co-create a new world.

Growth for us is an organic process. As we engage with people who are involved in our courses and meet those who come to our Visitor’s Weekends, what begins as mutual recognition and resonance can possibly lead to becoming involved in our year-long Exploring Relationship process.
Additional Comments:
The basis of our community is co-creation. We support each other in cultivating authenticity, wholeness and synthesis awareness. The intentional development of a whole, co-creative, regenerative and synthesis culture makes all of life a spiritual practice.
At this time we have no school age children. While it is the choice of the parents, we support home schooling; we aspire to develop our own school.

Additional Comments:
Each of us does what we can when another community member is in need. We are currently exploring our transition to a new economic paradigm.
We are a growing community with far more needs for work to be done than people here to do it. Rather than defining specific work requirements, we co-create with each person what their work and contribution will be. Work involves physical labor, project teams, and administrative support. Stewards, as full members, have committed to be fully engaged in the community and to do what each feels is their highest contribution to the community.
Our fees are listed on our website. These are the current guidelines based on the fact that we do have financial responsibilities as a community. Everyone is welcome to explore possibilities with us. We are flexible and at the same time we all take responsibility for the financial needs of the whole.
Every member holds the responsibility for the expenses of the community, and each contributes according to their capability, financially and/or creative participation in solutions.
