The Sanctuary — Vegan Community

Located in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico

Mission Statement
The Sanctuary, in alliance with The Myracles Foundation, is a non profit School of Universal Love. Set in a luxurious seven-bedroom home by the beach in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, we have created a conscious intentional community and retreat center with a focus on learning how to expand consciousness through holistic living, health, spirituality, and a plant-based diet. We offer a variety of programs to support this, some of which are available online.

We are a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional community living naturally, supporting souls in experiencing unity with Source, co-creating a shift into a dimension of Love and Light.

Our mission is to provide community living spaces for spiritual practice, healthy lifestyle, enlightening education programs, compassionate communication, unconditional and self love.  We offer a peaceful, loving environment to support the needs of guests from all over the world who come to The Sanctuary to integrate spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Our integrative modalities help to align soul, mind and heart, to realign with our purpose, to fulfill our unique mission and develop a deep joyous connection with life.

We also operate at another location, The Pharm, set in the countryside 6 kms away from The Sanctuary. At The Pharm we are learning & teaching how to connect more directly with nature, growing organic food full of life force energy. We are open to collaborative opportunities to transform The Pharm into a Permaculture, a Holistic Education Centre offering courses for adults and children to learn ways of living harmoniously in nature.

As a non profit organisation, we provide the following for free: Seasonal retreats for local nurses, English lessons for local children, experiences in nature for local children, support for local animals in need.

We also have a variety of Scholarship Programs available.

Community Description
The Sanctuary is a place where people from all over the world come to heal themselves of whatever ails them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

The Sanctuary is a colonial 5-bedroom home with an RV in the front and a garden and a casita in the back. We can fit up to 18 people. We are located in a neighborhood called Brisas de Zicatela in Puerto Escondido in Southern Mexico.

We are a vegan community and we have meals together 3 times per day, everyday except Sunday, when people are on their own to fast, coconut water fast, or eat fruit or leftovers.

The Sanctuary is for both health and spiritual growth and healing. We have many healing modalities in the home that are open for our guests and volunteers to use.

We have meditation and yoga every morning except Sunday.
