Many of them were at work when they were suddenly suspended and taken away. The reasons are unknown, and it is unclear when they will be released and allowed to return home. In addition, police visited the homes of dozens more members, demanding that they write and sign statements of guarantee, repentance, and denunciation. They were instructed not to communicate with outsiders and, in particular, not to participate in any Lifechanyuan activities, including accessing the internet.
