Resisting Tyranny – Part 24: Seeking a New Leader for the Chinese Nation

A single pearl must be strung together with others to become a necklace; a pile of loose sand must be bound together to form a solid fortress. The evil regime has already reached the point of inciting Heaven’s wrath and the people's fury—its downfall is both necessary and inevitable.
Do not continue to hope that the evil regime will one day awaken and reform itself. Do not harbor even the slightest illusion that it will suddenly become virtuous. Rather than trying to fix it, we must change the soil entirely. Rather than attempting repairs, we must begin anew. Cast off the old tunic, and put on a new suit.
The urgent task before us is to find a new leader for the Chinese nation. Do not wait for a savior to descend from the sky—it is the people who must seek him out. This new leader must meet the following conditions:
He must be someone who has long suffered under the oppression of the evil regime and has been steadfast in resisting it.
He must have paid a heavy price or made great sacrifices in the effort to overthrow it.
He must have published writings or videos that clearly articulate his position, his values, and his vision for bringing happiness to the people through governance.
As it is written in the Tao Te Ching:
“He who cherishes his body as the world is worthy to be entrusted with the world;
He who loves his body as the world is worthy to be entrusted with the world.”
Following these three criteria, we will not go far astray in seeking a new leader.
Yet we must also be on guard against the following:
He must not be someone from within the structure of the evil regime. Those immersed in it for too long inevitably become tainted by its habits and thinking.
He must not be one who merely speaks in theory without ever engaging in real action.
He must not be someone who has profited from the regime.
Once we have found this person, let us entrust him with our full confidence. Only by placing complete trust in him can the sails of our ideals carry us through the storm and safely arrive at the distant shore—the dream we have pursued for thousands of years: a land of freedom, peace, and justice.
