Resisting Tyranny – Part 10: The Lesson of Taiwan's Independence

Taiwan’s independence is a lasting wound in the soul of the Chinese nation.
But who caused this wound?
Not the people of Taiwan.
Not the people of the mainland.
Not even Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te.
It was the evil regime.

Since 1949, the regime has loudly proclaimed, “We must liberate Taiwan,” consuming countless public resources in the process.
Recently, President Lai declared that “Taiwan does not need to declare independence—Taiwan is already an independent country,” and called the People’s Republic of China “the greatest foreign enemy of the Republic of China.”

Taiwan has now declared itself independent.
The regime once thundered that if Taiwan dared take this step, it would immediately go to war.
But now, after Lai’s statement, the regime has said nothing—utter silence, pretending not to hear or see.
That’s its true nature: loud and threatening in words, but weak and timid when faced with real strength.

It was the evil regime that pushed Taiwan to independence.
Will it next push Xinjiang to break away?
Inner Mongolia?
Guangdong and Guangxi?
Yunnan? The three northeastern provinces?
Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia?
It’s hard to say.

If the evil regime is not removed, the longer it stays in power, the more likely it is that China will fall apart.
When that day comes, will people need visas just to travel across their own homeland?
Worse still—will flames of war rage across the land, with ordinary people forced to flee, left homeless and suffering?

Taiwan’s independence is now a fact.
This is undeniable.

Toward its own people, the evil regime is ruthless and cruel.
But do they truly believe the people are so easily bullied?

The Chinese people may be among the most tolerant and well-behaved in the world.
But once pushed to the limit,
they will skin you alive.
