The Traits of People Whose Souls Have Been Purified

The purification of the human soul—the cultivation of the soul garden—is the foremost task of humankind.
What kind of life unfolds once the soul has been purified?
I will answer from the sixteen years of production and life practice in Lifechanyuan’s Second Home.
Lifechanyuan’s Second Home was founded on April 18, 2009, in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China. It has now existed for more than sixteen years. Over five hundred people have participated in building it. Altogether, nineteen communities have been established across Kunming, Anning, Chuxiong, Lincang, and Lijiang in Yunnan; in Jiangsu, Xinjiang, Guizhou, Chongqing, Shandong, Henan; and abroad in Thailand, Canada, and South Korea. Members came from every direction, with diverse backgrounds. At its largest, one community held seventy-three people, ranging from elders over eighty years old to children of five or six. In each community, the following realities appeared:
1. Money of the community could be placed casually in the pocket of any Chanyuan Celestial whose soul had been purified. Not a single coin was ever lost. Tens of millions of yuan in cash passed through the custody of dozens, yet never once was money privately misused or embezzled.
2. Nearly every community had a warehouse where all household items were stored, including clothing, shoes, and socks. The warehouse was tidied regularly. Yet anyone who needed something did not have to ask or report to anyone—he or she simply went and took what was needed.
3. Whether men’s or women’s bedrooms, doors were not locked at night. No one would ever intrude without the owner’s consent. During the day, doors stood open. Except for those cleaning, no one would enter another’s private room without permission.
4. Jealousy and the habit of comparison disappeared completely. Especially among women, envy—though often thought to be innate—vanished. Instead, women praised and encouraged one another, striving to bring out each other’s beauty. Rarely did jealousy cause quarrels or conflict.
5. Those whose souls had been purified naturally became upholders of constitutions, laws, rules, contracts, and covenants. In nearly seventeen years, not a single Chanyuan Celestial has committed a crime.
6. They excelled in giving and dedication—whether through labor, spirit, soul, money, or material goods. Each one took pride in contributing to the community, and regarded greed, waste, and luxury as shameful. Thus, in nearly seventeen years, Lifechanyuan has built nineteen communities—an achievement that would otherwise require tens of millions in costs.
7. Once purified, one’s soul became pure and beautiful, one’s mind became simple, knowledge grew abundant, horizons expanded, and one’s realm was elevated. The temptations of money, status, power, sex, and fame diminished. Even under years of suppression—fifteen communities destroyed, more than eighty people arrested and imprisoned unjustly—the will and faith of members were not broken. Instead, their resolve to walk the way of the Greatest Creator and the path of Lifechanyuan only grew stronger. With spiritual eyes awakened, they saw through appearances more clearly, perceived beyond time and space the course of history and the future of humanity. No present phenomenon could ever again deceive their vision.
8. With purification, one could see the truth, and thus find true kindred spirits—not only three or five, but thirty or fifty, three hundred or five hundred, even thirty thousand or fifty thousand. Once the vibration frequencies of souls aligned, hearts resonated instantly, merging like water and milk. Thus, among Chanyuan Celestials, nearly everyone was a kindred spirit and confidant.
These eight realities are enough to show the immense importance and value of building the soul garden—for humanity as a whole, and for each individual. Nearly all conflicts between people in society stem from souls that have not been purified. One could even say, perhaps with some exaggeration, that a person without purification is like a demon, like a beast, like a criminal—constantly creating tragedy and disaster. But once the soul is purified, a person becomes an angel, a Celestial Being, a Buddha, a Bodhisattva—bringing blessings, warmth, harmony, and joy to society and to others.
Of all human endeavors, none surpasses the purification of the soul.
